MASSACHUSETTS RECORD REQUEST

Massachusetts Record Retrieval & Apostille

Request an eligible Massachusetts record and, when appropriate, coordinate apostille or other authentication before shipping.

Documents for international use

A receiving organization abroad may require authentication in addition to a certified record. The document’s signature, issuing authority and destination determine the appropriate route. An apostille does not guarantee that a recipient will accept a document for a particular purpose.

Tell us the country of use and provide the organization’s instructions before retrieval begins.

How coordination works

  1. 01

    Identify the requirements

Confirm the receiving country, document and required format.

  2. 02

    Retrieve the eligible record

Request an appropriate copy from the custodian.

  3. 03

    Review authentication

Coordinate apostille or other authentication when the document qualifies.

  4. 04

    Arrange delivery

Confirm the available shipping method and destination details.

Eligibility comes first

Not every record qualifies for Massachusetts apostille. A photocopy or unsuitable signature may not meet authentication requirements. Some countries require a different authentication route.
